Source Code has done it again. Syntax Sound has been improved and is looking better than ever. He’s even put up some new tunes that are like nothing you have ever heard, but will undoubtedly get your head bobbing and your sub-woofers flexing. Click on the link under the music heading in the link column to your right. The tracks are the new hotness, my friends. Believe that!
Trust me, the genre is evolving and the good tunes just keep coming. Characterized by heavy bass and late hits, the sound can be laid back and mellow, or become a heavy hitting, head-bobbing behemoth.
The links to Syntax Sound, Dubstep.fm, and Bare Files are under the Music heading in the link column to the right. Please check it out. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Some artist to keep in mind would be Benga, Kromestar, Youngsta, Loefah, Scuba, Mala, and Claw, just to name a few.
I know I’m a little late with this one, but I really liked the guy as an artist. The “Shaft” theme song is immortal and has been parodied and copied and sampled so many times. More recently, his voice is unmistakable as “Chef” in “South Park.” He will truly be missed.
Here’s what MTV had to say about it.
Drum and Bass makes up the bulk of my music collection and I wouldn’t know what to do without it at this point in time. Up-tempo, driving beats, down-tempo, heavy bass, insane breaks - I love it all. I’m also a big fan of the older tracks. I appreciate the evolution that the sounds have become and the assortment of variations of the sound that have come out of that metamorphosis. A wonderful site to get all your audible goodness from is Elements of Bass. Click on the link to their site for some audio treats.
I love this stuff. A year and half ago, I would not have been caught dead listening to drum and bass. Here I sit, typing this, listening to dubstep. I appreciate the down-tempo, heavy bass, and late hits that characterize this sound. I suggest checking out the link to their site for some streaming music, free of charge.
